Emmanuelle Fleurot was born in France in 1991 and grew up in the United Kingdom, where she completed her undergraduate studies at the Royal College of Music in London with Ian Jones and Andrew Zolinsky. She went on to study for a Master’s degree in contemporary piano at the Hochschule für Musik in Karlsruhe, Germany with Kaya Han and Markus Stange, which was supported by a graduate scholarship of the state of Baden-Württemberg. She has performed at festivals such as Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival, Principal Sound, Impuls Festival, Manifeste and Klangspuren Schwaz, and has taken part in masterclasses with Nicolas Hodges, Hie-Yon Choi, Alain Planès, Françoise Thinat and Sofya Gulyak. She has had the opportunity to work with composers such as Dieter Schnebel, Rebecca Saunders, Michael Finnissy, Beat Furrer, Simon Holt, Helmut Lachenmann, Sofia Gubaidulina, and Mark Andre as well as with many young composers. She is a founding member and pianist of Explore Ensemble, a London-based contemporary music group, was a member of the 2018 Ulysses Ensemble and joined the 2018/2019 International Ensemble Modern Academy in Frankfurt.
