Myriam makes films, painting animations and sounds scapes with her voice and computers. Her interests are people and their relationships to the natural and unnatural world using linear, non linear and interactive filmmaking techniques to get the story across. She is also interested in the effects new media art has on brain plasticity. She studied video production and electronic music at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute where she obtained an MFA. She also studied neurobiology, computer graphics and film at Syracuse University. Her work often deals with alternative thinking processes and narratives especially pertaining to non western orality and its role in experimental cinema. She has tought several low budget ‘do it yourself film’ workshops in Morocco, Algeria, Turkey, France and USA and worked at Sirius production in interactive film with children in Paris. She also has tought film and multimedia art at Bilkent university in Ankara and Yeditepe university in Istanbul, Turkey. She has tought stop motion filmmaking and deep listening techniques in algerian private schools and public art universities. She is currently preparing her capes concours in arts and working on a 'Hyper ocean' interactive film for autistic children.

I am an artist who makes neurocinema and interactive singing films. Surrealism and Mysticism are my favorite realms and I often dive into these with any medium at hand.
