Tremplin

2012 Commission program

Every year, the Ensemble intercontemporain and IRCAM hold the Tremplin concerts series that presents new works by young composers selected by the reading panel. The reading panel will select 4 to 8 applicants in December 2011 each of which is offered the opportunity to write a sketch for a 5-minute work by April 2012. Following the work sessions with the Ensemble intercontemporain, the jury will make a final selection. The jury can also schedule the performance of existing pieces by composers whose commission was not confirmed. The definitive choice of instrumentation and possible use of technology will be decided jointly by the composer and the sponsor.

Admission requirements 

Only applicants who have never had a work performed in concert by the Ensemble intercontemporain or IRCAM may apply.

Required documents to apply

Your biographic details :your education and diplomas informations, a description of your professional experience, a description of your prizes and awards

Your documents : A photocopy of your legal ID, a motivation letter, 1 or 2 recommendation letters

Your medias : 2 recent compositions, at least one of which uses electronics (scores and/or recordings)
