Callum Mallett  (°1995) is a sound artist and composer, with an interest informed by hybridity and render from physical medium in varying art practice. He is interested in the form of palimpsest, abstracting on function from design; typographic, graphic, architectural and textile. With work featuring elements of structured improvisation.

Callum Mallett recently studied composition and sonic arts at Victoria University of Wellington- New Zealand School of Music | Te Kōkī with Michael Norris.

Recent projects have been workshopped by the New Zealand String Quartet, Ensemble Go! and Joshua Hyde (alto saxophone). In 2017 he was finalist of the Lilburn Trust NZSM Composition Competition and co-winner of the NZTrio Composing Competition. He has recieved grants from Creative New Zealand and the Lankhuyzen-Whetu Kairangi Masonic Trust.

Recent work has been recorded and produced at the Wellington Cathedral of St. Pauls and in the Foyer of the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa.
