Stefano Paparozzi was born in Rome in 1986.

He graduated in Composition at Conservatorio Ottorino Respighi in Latina, and attended short and long masterclasses with Ivan Fedele, Beat Furrer, Luis Bacalov, and others. His works have been performed in various festivals and concerts.
He took a break from composing for some years, during which he wrote several short stories and a novel.
He went back writing music in 2018. His new works have been selected by calls for scores (Red Note Noisy Nights in Glasgow, Tage Neuer Musik 2020 in Regensburg, Flauto d'Amore Project, #60secondsofaccordion, Bach’n Eggs). His piece "Tenuto" won the First Prize at the 2020 edition of the Prix Annelie de Man in Amsterdam, and has been premiered by Ere Lievonen and Anne Veinberg; in 2021, his piece “Sursum Corda” won the Third Prize at the Over the Rainbow.
