Born in 1995, Inês Lopes is a Portuguese pianist currently living in The Netherlands. She is an avid student of contemporary music with particular interest in repertoire for piano and electronics, interdisciplinarity, ensemble playing and toy pianos/instruments. During the past years, she has had the opportunity of working with composers and playing with different ensemble configurations. She took a specialization in contemporary ensemble and after partaking in the Remix Ensemble Summer Academy in Porto in 2021, she was invited to collaborate with the ensemble in two projects in 2022. She worked with conductors such as Peter Rundel, Sylvain Cambreling and Gregory Charette. She is a part of Sketch351 a collective of musicians interested in contemporary music and creation and Novelo Vago, a voice, flute and toy instruments trio that mixes free improvisation and contemporary music influencies. Recently she finished her second master at the Koninklijk Conservatorium where she studied with Ellen Corver. She studied at the Porto Conservatory of Music and the Porto School of Music and Performing Arts (ESMAE) in the classes of Professors Eduardo Resende and Madalena Soveral, respectively.
