Konstantinos Alexopoulos is 21 years old. He is studying orchestra conducting on scholarship at the Malko Academy for Young Conductors in Copenhagen with Henrik Vagn Christensen and Ole Faurschou. At the same time, he is a graduate of the Department of Music Studies of the Ionian University in orchestral conducting, class of Miltos Logiadis. He has completed higher studies in orchestral conducting and solo piano at the École Normale de Musique de Paris, working for four years with Dominique Rouits, Julien Masmondet, David Lively, Jean-Bernard Pommier, Bruno Rigutto and Victoria Melki. He holds a diploma in piano and violin from the Athens Conservatory, classes of Natalia Michailidou and Franc Shestani. In addition, he has attended orchestra and choir conducting courses for one semester at the University of Arts in Graz, Austria, as part of a student exchange program with Marc Piollet, Wolfgang Doerner and Johannes Prinz.
He has given concerts in Greece and abroad, in countries such as France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Austria, Denmark, Italy and Bulgaria. In addition, he holds a diploma in Byzantine music and a diploma in harmony. Since childhood he has played in orchestras as a violinist and sings in choirs of all levels. In the Underground Youth Orchestra, the Animato Choir and the Chamber Choir of KUG. He has performed in halls such as the Athens Concert Hall, the Parnassus Hall, the Salle Cortot in Paris and the Salon des Beaux Arts in Louvre, the Graz Musikverein and the Konzerthaus Berlin. He has conducted the Danish Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Greek Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Danish National Vocal Ensemble and the Orchestra of the Municipality of Athens, amongst other ensembles.
He has participated in masterclasses with Johannes Schlaefli, Jorma Panula, Fabio Luisi, David Lively, Geffrey Patterson, Dmitry Matvienko, Louis Langree, Dr. Therees Hibbard, Nikolai Demidenko, Lionel Sow, Michalis Economou and soon with Martina Batic in June 2024. Finally, in the autumn of 2020, he recorded his first CD as a pianist in Paris, with works by Mozart, Beethoven, Schumann and Franck.
