FORMS - Generative Visual Music Quartet

FORMS – String Quartet is a live multimedia performance for string quartet, electronic music and panoramic visuals, based on the idea of “image sonification”.

The live musicians interpret a series of graphic scores that in turn build up the visual scenography, offering the audience the experience of being able to anticipate the “music to come”.

These graphic scores, together with the spectrograms that build the electronic music layer of the piece, have been created using software tools developed by the composer.

The result is a unique performance that blends together music, science, art and technology.
