Presented every two years by Internationales Musikinstitut Darmstadt (IMD), the Darmstadt Summer Course is an international “hot spot” for contemporary and experimental musical practices and composition: it is summer academy, festival and discourse platform at the same time and a meeting point for composers, interpreters, performers, sound artists and scholars. The next Darmstadt Summer Course will take place from 18 July to 1 August 2020, offering an intense program of courses, workshops, concerts, lectures, discussions and think tanks with around 60 tutors and many guests. Around 400 active participants from around 50 nations are expected.
