Dahae Boo

Born in 1988 in South Korea, Dahae Boo has a lot of experience in various countries: South Korea (Seoul National University), France (CRR de Boulogne-Billancourt, CNSM de Paris), Germany (Hochschule für Musik Stuttgart, Hochschule für Musik Freiburg), Japan(Tokyo University, Kunitachi music college). Currently she is a freelancer composer based in France. During the 2016-2017 academic year, she studied composition and computer music at IRCAM.
 
Her musical creations have been performed by numerous ensembles around the world, including Ensemble InterContemporain (FR), Ensemble 2e2m (FR), Ensemble Écoute (FR), LFCO-Lucerne Festival Contemporary Orchestra (CH), Ensemble Collegium Novum (CH) , Divertimiento Ensemble (IT), Talea Ensemble (US), Berliner Ensemble Essenz (KR-DE), Quartet Prometeo (IT), Quartet Béla (FR), Quartet Mivos (US), Quartet Hanson (FR ), the Debussy Quartet (FR), the Trio Fauve (FR), etc.
During these years, Dahae Boo was invited, in 2017, in residence at the electronic music studio EMS Stockholm, in Sweden.
Then in 2019, she was appointed director of the Vibra Seoul project for the selection of musical ensembles.
 
Dahae Boo is a DAAD and Rotary Wildlife Park scholarship holder, she won the SACEM - Georges Enesco Symphony Prize (FR), the Salabert Foundation Prize (FR), and the winner of the Christophe Delz Foundation 2021 (CH).
