As a clarinet performer, she is active in the contemporary and experimental music scene, guiding her own projects as well as taking part in different festivals such as Darmstädter Ferienkurse – Internationales Musikinstitut Darmstadt (Germany), Ultima Festival (Norway), Bergen Ung Nordisk Musik, (Norway), International Festival Aurora Chamber Music (Sweden), Internationale Junge Orchesterakademie (Germany), Only Connect (Norway) and Svensk Musikvår Festival (Sweden). Also, in the improvisation world, Perales has been performing in different countries like Spain, Estonia, Sweden, Germany, Norway or Finland, where she just released, together with the cellist Sergio Castrillón their album: SATURATIONS & NOISE TRANSFORMATIONS IN TWO DIMENSIONS (Art First Records, Helsinki)

She completed her studies in Clarinet Performance first in the Conservatoire Óscar Esplá (Spain) and later in the Norwegian Academy of Music (Norway). Nowadays, she is carrying out her masters in Contemporary Performance and Composition (CoPeCo) in the Royal College of Music in Stockholm (Sweden), focusing her research in the field of multimedia performance, avant-garde music, the composer-performer role, electroacoustic composition and feminist musicology. Concurrently with her studies in music, she has specialized in other disciplines like psychology.

As an artist, Elena is focused on the idea of community and interdisciplinarity. This made her create a strong bond with a group of artists with a similar mindset and idea towards art and with whom she is currently developing several projects. Some of these are Camila Nebbia, Juan Fran Cabrera, Sergio Castrillón, Carmen Kleykens, Bastien Pouillès, Francis St-Germain and Gonzalo Muruaga.
