Mexican composer and sound artist, His musical studies have been in Mexico, the United States and Spain, his main teachers have been Ramiro L. Guerra, Victor Rasgado, Ignacio Baca Lobera, John Mallia and Mauricio Sotelo. He has taken master classes with composers Beat Furrer, Yan Marez, José Luis Castillo, Carola Bauckhold, and Joao Pedro Oliveira. He has been a member since 2019 of the National System of Creators of FONCA, has received, among others, the following recognitions: UANL Award for Arts 2021 - Auditory Arts, Nuevo León 2021 System for Artistic Impulse and Creation CONARTE, Cluster Prize 2018 Associazione di Compositori Lucca Italia, Finalist in the ALEA III International Composition Competition 2015. Artist in residence at Millay Colony of the Arts (New York), Djerassi Resident Artists Program (California), LIPM Musical Research and Production Laboratory (Buenos Aires) and at the Mexican Center for Music and Sound Arts CMMAS.
He studied a Master in Sound Art at the University of Barcelona (2021), a postgraduate degree in composition at the Vermont College of Fine Arts (2013-2015), a Bachelor of Guitar and Composition Workshop at the Escuela Superior de Música y Danza de Monterrey (1994-2003) and a two-time fellow at the Centro de Compositores de Nuevo León (2001,2005.
He has taken classes at IMPULS-Ensamble Academie Composition Class in Graz Austria (2005) with Beat Furrer and Bernhard Lang. In July 2008 he attends Hige Melton University Center Doncaster UK taking electroacoustic classes with Rob Worby. At the Mexican Center for Music and Sound Arts CMMAS (2009-20013) he was studying electroacoustic composition with Rodrigo Sigal, Joao Pedro Oliveira and Francisco Colasanto. At the University of California Santa Cruz campus at the Workshop in Algorithmic Computer Music WACM 2011 studying with David Cope and Daniel Brown. INJUVE Composers Meetings (2001, 2002, 2004 and 2008) in Mollina-Málaga Spain, taking classes with Cristóbal Halfter, Mauricio Sotelo, Beat Furrer, José Manuel López-López, Yan Maresz and Luca Francesconi.
He has obtained the following awards: Cluster Prize 2018 Associazione di Compositori Lucca Italia. Finalist in the ALEA III International Composition Competition 2015, Boston USA. Finalist of the N.E.O.N. Nevada Encounters Of New Music 2009. University of Nevada, Las Vegas (USA). Winner of the National Composition Contest Ensamble Intercontemporain, FORUM 2007 of UNESCO cultures. Outstanding artist residency Millay Colony for Isabel Padro and Valiente Fellow for 2006, Members of Patron's Circle from New York United States. Finalist of the Composition Contest of the II International Contemporary Music Festival of Morelia 2005. Winner of the I Composition Contest of the 2005 New Music Festival in Monterrey.
First Place in the Composition Contest for Guitar "III Festival de Guitarras sin Fronteras" Chihuahua, Chihuahua 2005. Honorable Mention in the Composition Contest of the II Festival Guitarra Sin Fronteras in Chihuahua 2003.
