Created in 1991, the Grup Instrumental de València is an orchestral formation dedicated to the interpretation of music from the 20th and 21st centuries. His career was consolidated in 2005 with the granting of the Spanish National Music Prize, seeing his commitment to current music strengthened. It is currently a key cultural agent in the musical field and is actively involved in contemporary music programs throughout the Spanish State. The Grup Instrumental de València maintains a constant presence in national and international contemporary music forums, having been invited to perform at national festivals and auditoriums in Spain such as: Auditorio Nacional de Madrid, Teatros del Canal Madrid, Palau de la Música in Barcelona, Sala Joaquín Sevilla Turina, Granada International Music and Dance Festival, Castell de Peralada Festival, Alicante International Music Festival or San Lorenzo de El Escorial Summer Festival. At an international level, it has been part of the programming of auditoriums and festivals such as the Palacio de Bellas Artes and Auditorio de la UNAM (México D.F)., Teatro Odeón de Buenos Aires (Argentina), Gran Teatro de La Habana (Cuba), Festival A Tempo Caracas (Venezuela), Auditorio de Shanghai (China), Jakarta Central Bank Auditorium (Indonesia), Les Invalides Auditorium (Paris, France), King's Place Concert Hall London (Great Britain), San Pietro de Maiella Auditorium Naples and Rome Olympic Theater (Italy), Bremen Radio Sandesaal (Germany), Enescu Festival in Bucharest (Romania), Casa da Musica in Porto and Centro Cultural de Belem in Lisbon (Portugal), among others.
