The piece based on the aesthetics of early computers from the era of preparation for the first space flights of the 1950s and 1960s. Computers of that era were bulky and incredibly noisy. However, for an astronaut going into space, for a long time they became the only neighbors whose “conversations” it was necessary to listen carefully to. The slightest change in the tone of these digital conversations could signal a serious failure that would pose a danger to the entire space expedition.
