Encontres de Compositors Festival Composition Workshop in Mallorca

The Encontres de Compositors Festival invites you to submit your scores for an exciting Composition Workshop to be held in Mallorca. This workshop is designed for composers who are currently studying music composition or those beginning their professional careers, regardless of age or nationality.

Workshop Details

Selected composers will participate in a final concert on October 19 at Fundació ACA (Búger-Mallorca) as part of the Encontres de Compositors 2025 festival.

Ensemble

Composers are invited to create works for the following ensemble:
Cello
Saxophone (soprano, alto, baritone)
Piano/Keyboard/Sampler
Percussion (vibraphone with possible preparation)
All compositions must be free of live electronics and amplification.

Workshop Schedule

The workshop includes three sessions from July to October:
Two Online Sessions
One In-Person Session at Fundació ACA (Búger-Mallorca) on October 18 and 19.

Costs

Application Fee: €20
Workshop Fee (upon selection): €360
Fundació ACA offers free accommodation during the in-person sessions for the first five selected participants. The foundation will also assist other selected composers in arranging accommodation. The workshop will proceed with a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 9 participants.
The composer will receive a recording of the composed piece at the end of the workshop.
