Jorge Villoslada Durán (1997, Spain) begins his music studies in Madrid, Spain. In the same city, he obtains his degree in Art History at the Complutense University of Madrid, specializing in contemporary art. Concurrently, he starts his composition studies with the young composer Jose Pablo Polo. In his activity as a performer he spends three years in the project of the Galicia Youth Symphony Orchestra, where he is able to get to know the symphonic repertoire closely and meet conductors, performers and composers such as Sayaka Shōji, Roberto González Monjas or Krzysztof Penderecki. He is currently studying with Carola Bauckholt at the Anton Bruckner University in Linz, where he is pursuing his Bachelor studies and has been able to work with groups such as the Neue Vocalsolisten, Schallfeld Ensemble, the Landesjugendensemble für Neue Musik Baden-Württemberg and Delirium Ensemble. His work has been selected for the Wien Modern 33 Festival, as well as the Internationales Brucknerfest Linz 2021. Recently, his work has been recognized with a Diploma in the 3rd International Composer Competition "New Music Generation 2021" by the Kazakh National University of Arts.
